We got a couple inches of snow the other day, so I went out and got some snow tires mounted on my stock wheels. Now I'm officially making them the winter wheels:

i honestly didn't care enough to do any prep work. all i did was clean them.

i've painted wheels before (back when i had a WRX) and i did the whole sanding/prepping thing... but in the end they will chip either way. so i didn't bother this time.... since these are only going to be used as winter wheels. i can always touch em up later

about $10:

1 roll of wide painter tape (~$5.50)
2 cans of "krylon indoor/outdoor flat black" paint ($2.50/each at walmart)
