Installed springs, now brake pad warning is on.. need some help
I got my H&R sport springs put on yesterday, it looks really good. Anyhow I drove home from the shop last night, no probs. I get in my car this morning and my nav pops up and say something like "warning brake pads are worn please call BMW and make an appt". I went back to the shop and they checked all the sensors and showed me and all wires and sensors are fine. Has anyone ran into this problem? Thanks guys. Will take pics in a few
Matt

I had a break light and stability control light come on shortly after I lowered the car. Turns out that a steering wheel sensor was causing the problem. I needed an alignment. Had the dealer do an alignment and after that everything was fine. No more warning lights.

What was the problem with your car, was it also an alignment issue?

yea, my alignment was off, steering was off center, but im sure alignment could fix that, but its the brakes sensors that were screwed up, when i brought my car in for service, they told me the on board computer told them that i still had "999,999 km" left till brakes service...WTF, my brakes will last longer than the car itself?

So they replaced the sensor and it solved the problem?

i am not sure, they told me they just hooked it up to the machine over night, and i picked it up the next day and everything was fine, but keep in mind, i did have to take it to the dealership twice before everything was fixed

I ended up getting this fixed the same day, they just reset it like I asked them to with their code scanner. Problem fixed and no lights on. Oh and if you search you will find pics of my install
