Coilovers, how high?
this is an odd question where many people like to get coilovers so they can go lower, but my question is on raising.
I really like my stock zsp springs ride and looks, and performance with the bmw perf v1 shocks (they were a steal) after over 50,000 miles on that set up and 135,000 on the orig springs. But I have toyed with coilovers and the ability to change height. I would like a ride height right around where it is now for summer/track/autocross, maybe just 1/2" lower if that. But how much higher could I go in the winter? I would love the ride height of an xi or non sport suspension for the winter. The car is a beast in the snow with blizzaks, the only limiting factor is ground clearence. I've never been stuck, but living on a small 1 way street we don't get the first priority for the plows and I occasionally get in a sitution where I have to rock the car, back and forth it a bit to get out of a tough spot. If the car was 3/4" to 1" higher, I know it would be dramatically better. Thanks

Well depending on what kind of Coilovers you get, you can raise and lower the car with a twist of a knob or special wrench. You should have got a special tool with your coilovers that fit that specific set of coilovers you bought. What kind are they? That might give us a better idea on how to help you out.

Don't get KW then. They won't go any higher than OEM sport suspension and may not even go quite that high in front.
Adding: whenever you change your ride height you have to get an alignment, so you may not want to do that twice a year?
