I want to know if active autowerke chip removes the top speed limiter so we can go over 155mph

As far as I know.... No. There is no tie into the speed signal.

The Xede can be wired to "remove" or bypass the top speed limiter. I just don't think AA will release that kind of info.

Ah, yes it does with just 1 extra wire (aka the "old" green loom wire removed from v1.47). With v2, you just have to intercept the speed signal wire from the ECU.

Right, technically speaking any of the piggy backs can do this that are wired into the ECU. However, this is something you have to do at your own discretion, it does not come sold like that.

I think what HyperM3 is trying to say is that it doesn't come with the speed limiter defeat out of the box and that a small modification has to be done.

True, but who cares? The point is that it can be done easily if wanted...and the directions are posted. Driving above 155mph is ok for some, but not important to others. Personally, I've driven close to the speed governor and I don't feel any need to go faster than that.

Im not saying anyone should care. The point was that the poster asked if the PROcede comes with the limiter defeated. I just said it didnt. I didnt say it couldnt be done. Wasnt looking to argue about why it should or shouldnt be done.

I personally have no need for it as Ill never even get remotely close to my governer.

yes it able to to do that, and yes it does come like that, at least V2 anyways. there are no other "modifications" necessary unless you call plugging in one extra pin and additional modification. The way people were doing it, hacking into the maps makes your statement true.

Could you please elaborate on this? Wouldn't this make you run quite lean and risk blowing your engine. Especially if you get an additional 2-3 psi over the 14-15 with Procede. I guess with JB2 at about 12 psi that is not as much of an issue. Please tell us more about this mod,....Thanks!
