Found my problem...What next

Issue: Coolant leak from radiator control sleeve (not to be mistaken with coolant drain plug). Locking tabs are broken

Part number: 17117521781

Solution: Let's discuss the possibilities

Narrative: While on the I-15, my low coolant light came on and so I took off the under-covering to inspect. I thought the cause was a failing waterpump but the only visible leaking part was the control sleeve which had a 1/16 in gap from its contact point on the radiator. The small tab or plastic part that help lock the control sleeve had broken off. The leak is coming from the control sleeve. There is no leak occurring with the blue drain screw.------I pushed it back in and tried to rotate it to but since the tabs are broken off, the sleeve can not lock in place.

I'm brainstorming on what I can do to prevent the sleeve from coming off. I'm not exactly sure if that plastic tab can be replaced or repaired. If it is how? If not, any ideas on how to keep the sleeve in place?

The angle is impossible for an effective use of a zip tie

Duct tape.

Can't tell from the diagram, but can't the part simply be replaced?

As tacky as it sounds. With my situation and lack of access to BMW parts. Duct tape will suffice until I get a hold of replacement parts. Thank you.
