Buying back totalled 335 from insurance company

Hello,

My insurance company has finalized their figure for me buying back my recently hydrolocked 2011 335i.

The price is PRETTY good and the only thing the car needs is a new engine...

Water never got in the interior of the vehicle and I feel like I have a good car that can potentially be fixed.

Does anyone know of a good shop in the DFW area that could help me with this?

Also what are your opinions about this?

Either way I plan on getting a new X5 but if this car can be saved for a reasonable price, I don't see why I shouldn't do that!

Surprised that an engine totaled it. Anyway, have you confirmed that the rods are bent? Maybe its as simple as pumping out the water and changing all the fluids.
