Windows 8?
Anyone have any experience with it?
I bought the Parallels system for my MacBookPro today, and with it came a free version of the beta/consumer preview version of Windows 8! I booted it up immediately and it seems pretty cool. I mainly wanted windows/parallels so that I could use BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Mac has a version, but it's not nearly as comprehensive as the PC version which allows for leaked software to be uploaded + other features. Just wondering what anyone running this Win8 beta thinks, and if you could maybe give me some tips/cool things I should try! Here are some pics!

I've tried the consumer preview on my desktop, and it looks and feels so much more modern with the whole Metro UI. Everything is clean and simple. However, I think that with its many touch input features Windows 8 is meant more to be a notebook/tablet OS than a desktop OS.

Just wondering, why did you decide to go with Parallels rather than Virtual Box which is free? I work at my school's tech support type center so we see a lot of students who want Windows on their Macs and we use Virtual Box. Of course, students don't want to pay for Parallels but are there any other benefits?

We've been stress testing 8 at work and are very excited for the official release. Microsoft have really stepped up their game.
