xHP Black Friday sale

I just got the xHP transmission tune for my E93 335i with the ZF 6 speed in their Black Friday sale. So far I only tried the Stage 1 map with some custom tweaks, but I'm quite impressed with how it improves the shifting logic, speed and smoothness. There are 3 more maps, and you can customize shift points (which is my biggest complaint about the stock transmission, racing to 6th gear barely going 40 MPH in D, and hanging on to 3rd gear below 40 MPH in DS, both the wrong decisions when driving on a 35 MPH city street (4th is probably perfect for me)) and other parameters in each map.

I had my eye on their tune since I learned about the Alpina tune (with the xHP tune being mentioned as a much better alternative), and we're lucky with the ZF6HP in the E9x to have the cheapest tune by far (vs. the DCT or the ZF8HP in the later models), running around $200 right now without the dongle (I had a THOR already for general diagnostics and coding).

Was literally planning on buying this tune until I had a bunch of maintenance items pop up so had to postpone it. POBEP I also got that 2-3 jolt. Had this issue on both my ZF6 335i and my GM 328xi. I think it is a software issue that can be corrected by going to the dealer and having them update it. Though maybe XHP is solving this.

xHP Stage 1 fixed my 335d 2-3 jolt

I will re-confirm after this weekend 190mi drive, however initial road test showed nearly perfect shifts, both cold and warm

Ohio Enthusiast - thanks again.
