2011 328i e90 Trunk does not open
So basically my trunk does not open from the key fob, the button inside the car by the hood release, or from the actual trunk itself while the doors are unlocked.
The only way I’ve managed to get it open is by pulling the handle inside of the trunk with a rope I’ve tied to the handle through a hole in the back seat. Its not in valet mode, and every time I get the trunk open the light inside of the trunk will go on but it will not register that it is open on my dash board (not sure if it’s supposed to) Could it be the rear tailgate lock actuator ? Any ideas? I’m no mechanic I’m just trying to save some money by doing it myself. Thanks in advance! |

Are you sure it's not in valet mode? Try moving the switch in the glove box to valet mode and back.
This solved my similar issue - but I have a 2006 which at least still has a physical trunk key. |
