E92 335i 2006 waterpump issue

Hello everybody this is my first post but i have been reading for a long time.
So i have a 2006 335i e92 and everything was fine with it but it developed a problem.
I know that the waterpumps are literally made out of cheese and need to be changed often but this is just a strange problem. The waterpump keeps running on ignition and randomly turns on for a couple of seconds even when the car is locked and the key is nowhere close to the car. The pump does sound a little bit loud but i want to make sure it really is the pump. I even changed the battery now because it drained the old one. Checked every fuse but i dont know how to check the relays (and which ones are even for it) i dont know really whats wrong and im hoping i can fix it without changing the pump beacuse i was planning to sell it soon anyway.
I know there are a lot of posts about this but i just cant seem to find this specific issue fix.
Thank you

Kind of the opposite of the typical problem of it not running enough!

The E90s do make a lot of weird groaning and moaning sounds when you turn them on and off. Flaps opening/closing, pumps priming... maybe you are hearing some of that? Usually a couple minutes after shutting off & locking. And the battery could just be going bad? Have you checked it and how your charging system is working?

Im 100% sure it is the waterpump. When i heard the noise i opened the water reservoir i could see the water going from the upper most hose. I know the E90s make a lot of noise and everything but this is just sttange really. Its like the electronics are acting up or something. The battery in it was maybe 6 months old. To be fair i wasnt driving the car much over the winter but it never stood more then 5 days in the garage. Always fired right up. And now all of the sudden it just doest want to start. Checked the battery its dead. I mean the new batteey is not a problem but honestly i just dont know anymore.
And yes for some reason i cant clear codes from it maybe it has some electrical issue.

It definitely shouldn't be killing a newer battery like you have! Just troubleshooting, but is your alternator charging properly? I don't think it's the problem, but just throwing it out there...

Im pretty sure its charging properly but i will check it so i have real numbers of voltage to tell you. I was sitting next to it while it was locked but still it does power the pump for 3 to 4 seconds periodically every 30 minutes or so.

It's just a shot in the dark... I got nothing beyond basic "Check the battery" advice... :-(
