Video: My wheel stud conversion (after my wheel came off while I was driving!)

My bolts actually snapped while I was driving and my wheel came off! So I decided to switch to wheel studs. Here's my video:

Looks WAY better! Welcome to the club, and I'm glad you're safe. We can't NOT have you at our next meet.

Bimmette, it's scary to hear about your story of the bolts snapping while on the road. Any idea what might have been the cause? Were they excessively tightened by a shop? I use wheel spacers too and I use the non-OEM bolts that came with the spacers. I'm just worried that might happen to me too so I want to understand what caused yours.

I don't believe the bolts were overtorqued. I think they were just bad quality.

Glad you and your car were safe. Do you need to torque the wheel studs with a torque wrench?
