Hi - I know this topic has been discussed a lot of the years, but nothing definititive. Some say they rub, some say it's totally fine. Apex say it's fine and is a recommended setup.

I'm trying to run:
E92 335i
ARC-8 18x9 (square setup)
255/35/18 tire
et30 offset
B12 suspension (Eibach Springs, B8 Struts)

Would it be safer to use a 245/35/18 tire all the way around?

I heard Conti have less square shoulders, so if I did that, maybe the rubbing is a non-factor with a 255 tire?

Thank you! Any input on tires? I used Michelin PSS and 4S my whole time with the car, but I'm tired of buying tires every 7-10k, so I went with the Conti DSW06 All Seasons. Will I regret it totally? lol

I think if I were buying all seasons today I would go for the Michelin A/S4. I've had both the Michelin A/S3+ and currently have the DWS06+. They're very neck in neck for the best all season made. Tons of grip and ride well, but they do lack a little steering feel. They feel pretty squiggly when brand new but they get tons better with a little use. I think you'll like them!

Thanks very much! I know the A/S3+ is likely the slightly better tire, but I got the Conti just because they might be a little less boxy and keep me from potentially rubbing.

I'm also a little irritated by Michelin - great tires, but wear out fast and honestly, I felt like they rode harsh and noisy. I was running the Super Sports and Sport 4S for about 12 years. Time to try something new.

No need to look back with the Continentals, they're great tires if not the best all season out there. The A/S3+ is significantly wider and will definitely interfere more.

Thank you, that gives me a lot of confidence. I know the Michelin are boxier, so this is a decent solution, hopefully. Some people have said the sidewalls are too soft and cause issues turning aggressively.

When they're brand new, it can be a little shocking. Give them about 1,000 miles to break in and you'll be happy. They feel greasy/squirmy at first but they really do even out to ride nicely. They won't be as razer sharp as the Michelins but they ride a little better and last longer too. You'll like them
