Roll Bar Color

Just had a quick poll for you guys. As you guys know, my car is built 100% for the track, but I have the option for a color and would like some input on what would stand out, but not too much. I want it to be noticeable and I am taking off my tint to show it off.

What color should my roll bar be powdercoated?

Black - Classic but not very eye catching
Grey - Somewhat catches the eye and matches both sets of wheels. Can add yellow or blue stickers to stand out
Blue - To match the car and look like an extension of the chassis. Could be sleek but also noticeable
Yellow - the one that would stand out the most, but might get too matchy-matchy with the calipers.

Thanks so much in advance and you guys will be pretty excited to see what I throw in blue.

Picture for reference... (w/o tint)

I would do the grey. It is something you wouldn't regret later IMO. Plus would look great with the blue exterior and wouldn't clash.

I entered seeing your username thinking "yellow yellow yellow"

But actually I reckon blue would be better.

It is a roll bar, I made a very conscience effort to make that clear in the posts, haha. I mix them up all the time.

Sorry, but what's the purpose of this vehicle? In the thread from your sig you say it’s “on the track 3-4 times a year” but in this thread you say “my car is built 100% for the track”. So do you use this on the street or is it a trailer queen? Is it setup for a specific class for Time Attack (Solo I, SoloSprint or whatever it’s called where you are) because obviously you’re not SCCA racing with it?

No question, the quality of the parts you’re throwing at this car are great...and it looks great. Just wondering what’s the end result you’re going for? If it’s a 100% track car, then go with a 6pt and I’d recommend a flat color so you don’t get distracting glair off the cage.

Sorry, I know this is also off topic, but why is there painter’s tape on the lights? I’ve only seen this on the bikes here in Canada. Do they make you guys do that at lapping events down there?

Depends on the shade of blue, moar details plzz!
As for the yellow, i think that shade of blue and yellow (the shade of the brakes) go extremely well, and i would love to see more emphasis on the yellow.
I could see it being too much on some days though.
More details about that blue before i vote, and gray is always a safe, good looking option. I wouldn't even consider black lol.

Yellow would stand out the most. Also, matches your calipers.

The meaning of what I said is that every modification done to the car is to improve the car when on a track. This is basically a fun to drive car for the weekend and special events, not an everyday commodity. So, I would like this roll bar to increase rigidity and increase the safety of the car, but at the same time I would like it to add showmanship and flair (which can be achieved from a powdercoat). Since this car will be driven on the streets primarily, I would not like to install a roll cage and take away the convenience of an everyday car. A roll bar is a perfect compromise.

As for the paint, the paint is to shield the lights from any rocks that get kicked up by the car in front of me. I don't mind paint chips in my bumper because it has many, but I try and preserve my lights so I don't have to replace them due to a crack.

All fair questions, hope I cleared it up some.

I would try and match the shade of my car to the roll bar. I don't know which powdercoat shop ER uses but Fred will be in contact over the phone and shoot me various color options.

I don't know if you mean drag slips or dyno numbers. Just look at my signature and you can get the picture...
