Plz Help Identify this engine "creaking" noise!
Came home from work and was parking and started hearing a "creaking" noise at idle/throttle. I started freaking out and recorded it with my phone. I wanna say its a belt noise or something?? Plz help me identify what the noise it… I'm sorry for the bad quality & no lighting in the video…
Its a 06' 330i w/ 84k miles well maintained and never thrashed… |

Sounds like a bearing from one of the accessories or the belt tensioner pulley. Did you cycle the AC off? If it goes away the AC compressor bearing could be the culprit. If you turning the steeing wheel left to right does the noise increase? Check to see if there is any abnormal side to side play in any of the pulleys especially the tensioner.

Thank you for the help, im gunna go check with the ac and the steering wheel if the noise increases or not.
Also…What am I looking at cost wise if it was a pulley or one of the belt. |

Just checked the car again, and ran the car w/o AC and noise was still present and consistent, so I don't think it has to do with the AC. Also the steering wheel when turned side to side did not effect the noise at all. So it has to be a pulley or the belt im assuming. Unless someone has something else to add.
