What should I buy w/ JB4?
I'm going to get the Jb4 soon but besides that my car is pretty much stock since I just bought it. What is the best mod to get w the jb4? Charge pipe/bov? Down pipes? Anything else?
Thanks |

Make sure to get the USB with it. Next I would do downpipes and a charge pipe. People have the stock CP crack under higher boost.

This question is always kind of a debate. The next supporting mods you should consider is either an FMIC or down pipes. An FMIC is going to keep your AIT's in check allowing your car to make power more consistently. The stock FMIC is garbage and heat soaks very quickly. Down pipes will free up the back pressure in the exhaust system allowing the turbos to run a bit more efficiently. At higher boost levels the less back pressure the better. As far as HP is concerned you will see more gain from down pipes. However, if you run the car hard on back to back runs without an FMIC you will lose that added power.
Best case... obviously both would be ideal. But if you have to chose one I would say get an FMIC first as it makes your tune more reliable/consistent as far as power. Just my $.02 |

I would start with the JB4/DCI/USB combo.. Get that installed and get familiar with everything.. Next mods would be downpipes/FMIC/charge pipe.
Shoot me a PM and we can go over your plan, and desires for the car. Mike |

Thanks for all the input. I'll plan to do fbo eventually but need to save some money first. Basically have a grand to spend right now so jb4 plus down pipes and charge pipe? Then add fmic? Is it worth getting a bov for the extra $200-300?
Mike, ill pm you about my plans. Can't wait to get the jb4 |

I thought fmics were $1000 didn't realize the vrsf fmic was only $500. Maybe I can do all 3.
Could save money without bov on cp. is a bov worth it? If so, which one is best? |

If you plan on doing this with a $1,000 budget I recommend going with VRSF intercooler and downpipes, and the ER charge pipe for the simple fact it utilizes the factory connection to the throttle body and I would get it with OEM connections and use your stock DV's until you can save the $300 for the Forge DV's.. I did this with the charge pipe and have ER with stock DV's and it's been fine for about 5 months but I am actually ordering my Forge DV's in the next month
