N52 Secondary cat delete

Hi

I currently have a muffler delete and want a deeper sound. I was wondering if the secondary cat would help or should I just do a resonator delete. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks

I'm happy with my secondary delete, but I still have the muffler, resonator and stock headers. The change was pretty subtle:

An exhaust shop did my whole custom 3 inch catback with ss tips for $250. A secondary delete should be no more then a $100

Stainless steel piping. Custom 3 inch straight pipe. Had no rasp and barely any drone until i got my catless headers on and then it got raspy and insanely loud

Im pretty sure the exhaust shop charges something like $10 a foot for the piping. Its the labor that makes the cost high. If ur just going for a secondary delete then they will weld new piping in place of ur secondarys for i say no more then $100-$125

The tips i got were $75 which meant the actual straight pipe was $175 and thats for a full straight pipe

You will lose a slight bit in the lowend (under2500 rpm) but once above that it just pulls so much better. Especially when at 5-7k. And the sound is amazing

While we're on the topic (sort of...), I was looking at doing a muffler delete on my 2007 328i Coupe and was going to pick up the exhaust piping, but I was going to ask if anyone had any measurements or plans for when they've done it. For example, 13", 90 degree bend, 16", 90 degree bend, so on and so forth. Know what I'm saying?

Worst case scenario I'll crawl underneath and measure it all out, but if someone already had it done it would make my life a lot easier!

U plan on doing the job yourself? Cuz a muffler shop would mandrel bend it and make it perfect for $150-200

99% good shops will have really good pipe benders so you will save a lot more then buying afe mid pipes. My custom exhaust i had made has been ran on my car now for almost 3 years now with no problems except ive bent it a little from scraping. Lowered problems ??
