Hi,
So I'm basically killing time before my E91 gets delivered and I'm currently planning which winter tires I should get for it ![]() My new car will be delivered with 193m rims, which (as far as I know) means I'll be getting runflats as well. However, I do have the option of getting non-runflats for winter tires, and I'm just writing to see if any of you have done the same. Also, I'd like a reality check on whether they actually DO break your back. I've only managed to test drive aa E91 330d (no m-sport package) and it seemed way less bumpy than my current (terribly bumpy) Seat Altea. Will an E91 with m-sport be that much worse? |

I s'pose if you spread a sheet on them and go to sleep, yeah, they'd be a little rough. I don't think they're too bad when attached to the car!
![]() I'm ditching the run-flats in a few weeks, and will likely stiffen the suspension to compensate.

I was a bit worried before deciding though, since a lot of online reviews are complaining that the runflats + the m-sport package would be a ride a bit too much on the firm side.
In Denmark a good BMW costs about the same as a nice aparment in the city, so the resellers don't have many E91s with m-sport standing around for a test drive. In fact I couldn't find a single one... I guess it can only be better than my current horrible car. |
