Cool Shirt
My wife bought me a Cool Shirt for a holiday present. Has anybody tried it? If so, where/how did you mount the cooler?
I can't wait to try this thing!!!!

When I crewed for a Grand Am team..our drivers had those things...they work pretty well for the first hour...but then not so good. It was a race in Phoenix..Ugh..hot...and I was the gasoline guy in the pits..Ugh...

Yes, that is the shirt. I ended up getting the one with the small cans of coolant instead of the large cooler. I was concerned that some track official would not let me on course with that cooler loose on the back floor. The little cans of coolant are $10.50 each and should last for an hour or so. They also take up less storage space in the garage (a good thing). S4...OMG, that sounds awful!!! THAT is true dedication to the sport.

I've had one for 5 years. You can mount it pretty much anywhere and just use tie down (the 1" pull tight)...you may have to put some eye bolts in your car if you can't find a good place where it won't move around. You will need to hook up a switch within reach. This way you can turn it on and off once it cools you down or you need cool down. The best thing to do is to feeze two litter bottles and throw one in the cooler and put some water over it (block ice lasts longer). Also, make sure you use the alcohol once a month and when you store it to get all of the bacteria from growing in it. I usually run a half bottle in the cooler after each race and have had no problems. It's great when you use it, but it does spoil you. I use it for about 1/2 the races in the summer time...and sometimes I wish I had it on.

Thanks for the review!
I ended-up opting for the portable system with the small aerosol cans. Each can allegedly lasts for 1 hour and costs $10.50. I figure this solution should get me through the season with a smaller initial investment. Assuming I like it, I can always go buy the cooler and find a way to install it.
