LIMP MODE - (on the dyno) - full results :-)

This is kinda old, but I figured people would get a kick out of it...

Obviously I didnt plan for this... I was trying to get a baseline run... but my fuelpump was pooping out, and I had to go back and do it after the replacement. (which I did)

HERE IS THE STORY...

My car acting up from a dying fuel pump...(September 2006 car) so I had the dealer looking into it... they took my car in with an empty tank, they said, "hey, we filled it up for ya!" I said... "oh crap"

they used their "reserve" gas that is BP of some unknown octane...

I already had a dyno session scheduled for that day, so I said what the heck, lets do it....

well, FIRST RUN on the dyno... STOCK ... DING DING! LIMP

The blue line is the run that went limp... the red line is a FULL DYNO WHILE IN LIMP MODE!

Ever wonder how much power your car has while in limp mode? Here ya go...

Stock n54 has a nice smooth linear TQ curve... too bad I hit limp, that was turning out to be a nice stock baseline run!

For those that wonder... yes a CEL stayed on, and I was able to use a code reader... it was several MISFIRE codes

Damn, wonder why your torque curve is so much smoother than mine. And how come in both cases the torque is so low under 3k? I thought torque was supposed to be near peak at 1500.
