3-Stage Intake Mani // Best Tune

I've been running the AA tune on my 2006 325i for almost 2 years now. I'm nearing 270000kms with it. Overall I am happy with the tune, conclusively there's been a considerable gain in power.

I've not paid attention to any new devleopments in this area and I'm curious to see if this community has found a tune that is hands down the best for those of us running the 3 stage manifold. I'm happy with the power gain but I feel like I'm still shy of 330 power which was the original goal of this modoification.

One issue I've experienced is jerky power delivery in the lower band. Part of it is the adaptive throttle which I seem to have to reset monthly. Disapointingly the tune does feel somewhat unrefined, but a small price to pay for the gain in power.

I'm really curious to hear about your experiences. Especially that of our friend, (e90pilot was it?) Who pioneered this whole thing. It was pretty wild getting all the parts together and doing the install. I remember doing the swap and breaking one of the hoses he warned about in his guide lol, that was a costly mistake.

Just wanted to say thanks and say hi to all the members. Its great to see how active this community continues to be.

strange, mine has been smooth for the 1.5 years I've had it on the car.

AA has a revised tune since then though. Version 2, I think it's called. You might be able to upgrade at a discount since you already have version 1.

Its referred to as stage 2. Most dealers will do or reflash for those who have the stage 1 AA tune for 100 bucks

I think its Hooy that has a dyno that compares a Eurocharged tune to the new AA tune (used to be called stage 2). This dyno could be the best idea of what is different between old AA and new AA

It really is. You can read up all you want about how to please a woman, you can look at all the diagrams in the world, but just like the clitoris, you won't know what the hell an apex is before you actually find it.

Yeah, that was stage 1. EC had 6whp more at the time. Dunno how AA stg2 compares.
