Size comparison between 7inch and new 7.5inch stepped.

More details to come!

Not sure on price yet but it should be very competitive.

Not only is it a different more efficient core but it has the size for those who need it.

It's designed for people with 600HP to 1000HP. At that point size will come into play but also the more efficient intercooler.

This is not for regular stock turbo guys or even people sub 550WHP.

VRSF will be releasing at some point down the road a 7" RACE FMIC to fill the gap for those looking for an even better 7" without the potential pressure loss.

I don't have actual pressure loss but for the guys with big turbo singles, it's not really a concern because of the need to keep IAT in check.

That being said, VRSF is waiting from some independent data from some beta testers.

On a stock turbo, you can check your phone for new messages, while waiting for the boost to kick in.

On a serious note, how much does this encroach on the radiator ?
Those of us in the south needs to knows.

The stepped has a larger face, more surface area for cold air to hit, so it would cool better right?

I think it will need more seat time in the real world before we know.

I'd probably suggest off that bat to make sure you have an upgraded radiator too. It's a small cost in the grand scheme of a Big Upgraded turbo build too.

Out of curiosity, would there be a drawback if you don't have 600 HP?

Maybe a bit loss in response. I'll have comparisons of the race 7.5" vs the new 7" vs the old 7" shortly.
