yea really, im not saying steve is a bad detailer, I went to drop off a friends car to jason and he and I got talking and he gave me a deal and I thought I would share that, dont make this out to be a Shiv VS BMS type thread Seth

its not shiv vs bms mark.. its a matter of someone taking care of all of us and wondering why you'd take business elsewhere. i dont have any problems with jason either, just wondering why not promoting steve? thats like you recommending PYspeed over WSTO.

because ive know jason longer than steve and had my car detailed from him, just because you and other support Steve doesnt mean I have to jump on that bandwagon, I prefer using Jason and that how im keeping it. No offense to steve, but I don't have much experience with him and its a pain in the ass to drive my car down to skokie when I can come to work and have jason pick up my car

I agree with both of you, and I prolly know Steve the best of all of us. You all are free to spend $ wherever and with whomever you want. However, what I know will not matter to any of you because you are all young and don't care is the value provided by a vendor...such as hosting events and being an active resource for questions. I know you can't quantify it in terms of $, but I can't tell you how many times I call Steve with a question about this or that...not even always paint/cleaning related but car related in general. I've been on the forum for a few years, been to many car events and have yet to even see Jason. I think that is all Seth is trying to say, is the value provided should be worth something more. I agree, but then again, that's how I build business relationships.

FTR...Steve also did something like this prior to HIN and half you fuckers backed out...he never held it against us. I felt so badly, I had my van done to help make up some of the time he blocked out for us.

I don't disagree, and if you are talking to me, I'm not hating. I know you have been supportive of Steve and go to his events. I'm sure Jason is fine. I think the issue is that he's kind of carpet bagging here....luring you in with a one time $ savings and then regular prices vs. a longer term commitment to supporting the group that in the long run should be worth more than a few sheckles.

I don't want to get into an argument over it. I'm just trying to more calmly and reasonably explain what I think Berg was trying to say but in his normal flippant manner.

Choose whatever vendor you want, I don't care and I won't hold it against you...like you care what I think anyway. But....always, please consider our supporting vendors when looking at options....there, how's that?
