Could a bad starter trigger these codes?

As described in the title, I got these shadow (inactive) codes today. I do have a bad starter right now hoping it is just that causing these codes. I know it really looks like an injector issue, but car drives fine and no SEL lights or anything like that.

Starter would not cause those codes. How does the car drive fine with a bad starter? Why don’t you fix one problem then move on to the next one...

I'm pretty sure a bad starter only causes the car to start and cranks a little longer but won't cause any problems with driving

Gotcha, so the starter is still starting car. Doesn’t matter. Still won’t cause those codes.

I really don't know what could be wrong though... Cold starts are always fine, no rough idles, and no strange noises from engine.

It would appear your Starter has NOTHING to do with the fact that your high pressure fuel pump output pressure is TOO LOW, which is what the untranslated German following Fault Code 2BF0 is stating. Here is the translation from Google Translate:
https://translate.google.com/#view=h...te&sl=de&tl=en

2BF0: High fuel pressure at or after release of injection (2nd environment condition set after time delay): Pressure too low = Kraftstoffhochdruck bei oder nach Freigabe der Einspritzung (2. Umwelt Bedingungssatz nach Zeitverzögerung ): Druck zu niedrig

Low pressure at the fuel rail results in TOO LEAN fuel mixture (less fuel injected at DME-controlled pulse duration), hence the 2BC0 Too Lean Code.

If you had an issue with a single injector, or injectors on just one exhaust bank, you would have Too Lean just on that single Bank.

NONE of the four Fault Codes are currently present, which means you have an intermittent issue and you need to know WHEN the fault occurs. I would want to know WHAT the Freeze Frame Data show for engine conditions (RPM, Load, Boost) when the two HPFP codes: 2BDE & 2BF0 were saved. If you indicate what Scan Tool you have available, perhaps someone can suggest how to monitor/ diagnose the HPFP.

Thanks for the reply! The only program that I have for scanning and monitoring is MHD. Do you think that could help me catch the errors?
