330d LCI vs 330d pre-LCI - Much Difference?
Just wondering what the real world performance difference is between the 330d LCI and 330d pre-LCI?
Has anyone driven both and does the LCI feel much quicker? On paper its 245PS but around 0.6 sec quicker to 60 so I guess that would be noticable. Also I read somewhere on here that a guy took his LCI down the strip against a 335d and got a slightly quicker 1/4 mile (although this could be down to the driver of course). Also, does the 330d LCI handle differently? Carmagazine.co.uk say "Stability is enhanced by a slightly wider track..." Be interested with anyones experience who has driven both old and new cars. Cheers. Andy |

Yeah that was me. 330d 1/4 mile in 14.19 secs which was faster than a 335d.
335d driver must have poor technique though as it is a more powerful car. I brake boosted to get that time. I'd get the new 330d, just because it is the LCI new shape and it looks better. The new shape looks similar to the new F30 3-series due out this year. When that comes out, pre 2008 cars will look old fast. |
