CPO or no?

Looking to purchase my first BMW. Budget only allows preowned. Going back and forth between 328 or 335.

Do I go for CPO or just go preowned? I usually only drive cars for two years before I tire of them.

Thanks for any input or feedback

CPO. My turbo replacement on my CPO 335 was enough to justify

CPO.....might get away with non-CPO 328, but for 335 i would recommend CPO

as far as 328 vs 335, 335i is much faster stock and even more faster with a small $160 dollar tune (used JB+ that is), dont know if you going with AUTO, but 335i also has better AUTO tranny. Drive both and its gonna be pretty clear which one you want.

Don't drive the 335 unless you are sure you can afford it. I think it will be a hard comparison.

Garage List
2008 BMW 335i  [10.00]
328i - some left over warranty and you're fine (make sure it has all the common problems fixed, like that oil head something sticky).
335i - CPO, and you'll sleep well at night.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge about the n52 (328i engine), and my laziness to read the sticky posted.

CPO is great. I ended up getting my 330i from Car Max and got their extended warranty which actually covers more then the CPO program and saved a couple grand versus the comparable CPO (excluding the finance incentives BMW often offers for CPO cars). You can find plenty of low mile E90, E92 etc around so take your time.

Let us know what the saving between CPO and non-CPO car, then we might give you a better idea since you only going to keep the car for two years

CPO. ive had my car for 4 months and been to the dealer for 2 somewhat serious issues already.
transmission leak and replacing my vanos stuff (kept my car for 3 days)

carmax also offers a warranty and you can take your car to bmw to get serviced with it from what i understand. you just need to pay an $80 deductible instead of the $50.
