Can you take delivery of a 3 at the SC Plant via PCD?
My car was in for service last week, and I was looking at the cars in the showroom when I started talking to the sales guy. Long story short: He says you can take delivery of any BMW in SC. (Not just the X3/X5) They would just ship your 3 or whatever model and you get to tour the factory and you get 2 hours of track time there. Is this true???

I believe so, we've had a few forum members pick up their car @ the BMW SC factory.. sort of like Euro Delivery but in the USA...don't know how would it affect the cost though.. i.e. cost - 4k off that ED buyers get from BMW..
Good luck. |

Cool. Thanks guys. I have family in SC, and I would do it just for the track time and tour of the plant!

I guess you don't adhere to the break in procedures per the manual? Or do they provide you with a different car to drive? Cool idea, though!

I believe that's Performance Center Delivery, I've seen a 335i being prep and deliver on the day I went to Performance Driving School.
The performance center is just down the road from BMW Zentrum. And of course, you have to order a car to do that. http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...CenterFAQ.aspx

1) you can take delivery of any BMW at the performance center that you order. There is NO discount price but they do give you a free night at the local Marriot and free dinner with tours of the meseum and factory if available. 2) they give you a car similar to the one you order for the track session- you don't take the car you ordered on the track For more info see the Bimmerfest forums- there is a sub section just for PDC deliveries- and yes you can do a PCD after a Euro delivery Hope that helps!!! I did a PCD on my old 328 back in 08- amazing experience!!
