On the contrary my friend, whatever hp you *thought* you gained you just lost it by adding weight to an allready heavy exhaust. If performance is what you´re after then slap in an aftermarket catback, you´ll get the sound and loose a good 30-40 lbs.????
That being said I must admit it looks very good. Congrats

Just how it looks is enough for me. I'm not in to racing stuff. Whenever I get some money I'll buy an M3, that's if economy gets better! |

Looks good bro. I'm very skeptical about your claim regarding the similarity in sound to the 335i, however. The exhaust note on the 335i has got to be one of the most distinctive ever. Post up some clips.

They are both 3.0 liter engines Obviously the rpm climb will be distinctively quicker on the n54 at WOT but otherwise the note should be similar IMO. Great mod. I like it better than the ever popular canister delete on the n52's |

The store I got the new set said they don't carry them anymore, they only have the 21" for the X5 & X3. I asked them why the rubbing and they said because the offset and the front suspension on my sport package. |

i never understood cars that had a single exhaust to begin with and then adding dual exhausts? i see that around here with Civics and other cars here that aren't supposed to have it.. even if you debadge, don't go out and start racing other cars or else people will think that the 335i is a slow car... it's like putting a Turbo badge on a 328i.. not my cup of tea, but it's your car.. just putting my opinion out there..

Here is the part list. Exhaust not on the list, also you must buy some hoses, clamps, wire, wire conectors and hose adapters to relocate a canister.
Prices sometimes are little higher here in the islands. If you get them at getbmwparts.com total is around $231 The trunk "cubbie" pn 51717123486 is the one you need, the 335 part list catalog shows a second number which is the pn for the single pipe 325 cubbie. Be careful not to order the wrong one, the part list catalog seems to have an error or maybe who knows if there is a 335 version with a single pipe. Video and more pictures as soon as I get a chance. To busy lately. Last edited by averigualotu; 04-13-2009 at 05:10 PM.. |
