did you feel the lost of low end torque compared to OEM exhuast? i've been thinking about this 1.5 years.
Perhaps the removal of mid-cat increase more flow? so you dont feel the loss of power?

wow i never knew the 335 exhaust fit, i might do this and take out the trunk if its a cheaper alternative then having the shop do all the welding. plus it sounds real good!

As stated previously, M pack equipped car in europe come from the factory equipped with the M badge. This is not posing as it does not say it is an M3, Simply stating the vehicles status as an Mtec upgraded car.

I wanted to do this to my car but it would involve moving the whole trunk and gas tank which my muffler shop (welder) place did not want to touch . Especially involving with gas and fuel.

I've been going back and forth about going to a 335 type exhaust. From what I've been able to determine the obvious changes are: - Heat shield and bracket in front of the rear axle (to accommodate the right side exhaust pipe). - Trunk storage well and heat shields (335 uses 2 shields). - Exhaust hangers, passenger side. - Vapor canister vent pipes (one from the fuel tank and one from the filler neck) - Rear bumper fascia with two cutouts. The 335 uses the same vapor canister which is bolted to the trunk storage well on my 328. What I can't figure out is when the well is changed where is the canister mounted? If anyone has pictures/diagrams of the 335 setup, I'd like to see them. TIA.

So let me get this straight: you bought a 325, but you really wanted a 335, uh, I mean, you really really wanted an M3, so you Frankensteined them all together. Why not just buy a 335? And why pretend it's an M3 when it's not? Oh well. Looks like nice work, and it's your car, so whatever makes you happy. Enjoy!
