Does anybody know how to remove the rear speakers in an e92? Also, is the mounting pitch of the rear speaker the same as the front?

i would like to know this as well. if its anything like the e46, my best bet would be to remove the trim in the back seat and pray there are screws there. i dont think you have to take out the whole panel to get to the speaker.

Nobody has ever replaced e92 rear speakers before? I was able to remove the bottom seat cushion and partly take off the panel in the rear, but I can't seem to remove it completely.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? What needs to be done to take off the panels to access the rear speakers?

The speakers on the rear deck? If it's anything like the E46 (which I'm sure it is), pop off the grill (careful not to break any plastic tabs), then you'll see the 3 screws holding the speaker in place.

Ah, for those you most likely have to remove that quarter panel to access the speaker. Isn't there a how-to on that in this forum?

it's hard to believe nobody has replaced rear speakers. i've got focals in the front and my rear speakers sound like absolute shit compared to them. especially since i dont have logic7

If you remove the trim on the quarter panel there should be screws there holding the quarter panel in place.

i was able to remove the trim on the door which revealed 3 screws that holds the panel to the chassis. i'm able to pry and pull back the panel but am not able to remove it completely. it feels like there is tension toward the rear of the car (near the seatbelts)

i'll see if i can wiggle it out when i get home

The panel snaps in place with clips. Might help to fold down the rear seat so you can pull the panel off.

It's sort of tricky, you need to unsnap the panel, then slide it towards the front of the car to pull it out. But first, you need to remove the trim on the door and take out the two long torx screws holding the panel to the car. Takes a lot of maneuvering, but it came out perfectly.

Speaker removal from that point is self explanatory - three torx screws holding in the 4" mid, and the tweeter is removed by twisting it counter clockwise

Do you happen to have photos of this?

I am struggling with the same part. I have the top part off, but its stuck in the middle where the leather arm rest meets the rest of the trim... Can I take the top part off only?
