Thanks! I like the look of them on there I think I might change the color though. I wish that was my garage, it was at the fire dept that I'm a member at. We have gotten quite a bit of snow here nothing that the wagon can't handle though. |

Just come across this thread, so here's mine:
335d White with gloss black wrap to roof, spoiler & diffuser. Gloss black CSL rep's. And a towbar - for the caravan and bike trailer (not at the same time!) ![]() ![]() ![]() Don't forget the dog . . . ![]() |

[QUOTE=AlwynMike;13590690]Just come across this thread, so here's mine:
335d White with gloss black wrap to roof, spoiler & diffuser. Gloss black CSL rep's. And a towbar - for the caravan and bike trailer (not at the same time!) Looking good Mike I'm posting some pics of mine in a month when my new wheels are on and you'll def see similarities. Can't you fold in the towbar when not using it? A bit disturbing visually on such a nice wagon. |

It removes completely, and the electric socket hinges up behind the diffuser. Likewise, the towbar "socket" is also behind the diffuser, so it is completely invisible unless you get on your knees. I was out last weekend off-roading on my bike, so I'd just not bothered taking it off after using the trailer. Mike |

I'm another E91 towbar user - i have a utility trailer for taking things to the dump, a Thule bike rack which mounts on the towball, and a rather large jetski which i drag to the coast from time to time
![]() Here's the only vaguely decent picture i have of my wagon: ![]()

There are plenty around though, and if you're desperate, I'm sure one of the UK suppliers would ship one to you, but are your Canadian hitches the imperial 2 inch size or 50mm ball?? Mike |

The English firm "Witter" used to do a detachable towbar which had a flange plate for mounting a standard 50mm ball, with a couple of large nuts/bolts. These flanges were also able to accommodate a 2" ball which had the same bolt hole pitch. Here in the UK, it's only some farm machinery that uses 2" these days, and often the 2" ball comes with a pin hitch too (where the trailer has just an eye for a coupling, with lots of play and rattle). Witter may still make these, but generally the socket is still visible under the car; The socket is aligned horizontally. On my car, which has a "Westphalia" towbar, the socket is aligned vertically. BMW uses Westphalia as OEM, but the E9x has an electrically operated towball, where you press a switch and the ball drops down. You have to manually retract it though. Mike |

Very cool. Does that include the part that bolts to the car? They don't picture it.
Bummer though, £110 to ship and £201 for the electronics. Starts to add up quick. ![]() |
