They should be stiff - there are two ways they will go in though, so I'd pop it out and try again. It was a little tough for me the first time, but I whip through it now.

Oh and for the Idrive knob to my surprise I had no idea but i guess the 07's come with a refreshed knob that has a kind of matte silver and black rubber around it which i find is very nice.
So thankx bud but for now i'm good.
Glad you like, er, LOVE, your wheel. I feel the exact same way.

If you don't mind the mass of fingerprints on your current iDrive knob because of the glossy material BMW used, more power to you. I couldn't stand the fingerprints, and I had the pre-'07 iDrive knob which carried much less fingerprints. Fingerprints were part of the reason I was so motivated to make the 5er knob fit the 3er mount because the 5 series iDrive knob doesn't hold any fingerprints.

The only one I have of the gp's with the xenons on is with no flash:

gp's are on the right

here's my "final" setup....gp's as angels and mtecs everywhere else. I did notice outside the gp's are dim with the sun out. Stock is definitely brightest.

Don't get me wrong, I think the angels do look better when they are "whiter", but the engineers @ BMW designed them on the E92 to be used as DRLs. Hence, for DRL use, brighter is better than whiter.
Car looks great Picus.

Ya, I know. I am thinking about swapping back to stock bulbs for that reason. I wanted to give the gp's a fair shot in the sun.

Like Sobek said, try premiertek they have tons of GP Thunder 8500k HID bulbs and HID kits. I live in atlanta so I drove over there yesturday and got two h8 bulbs and 1 h3. I installed the one h8 for the angel eyes and the h3 for the cornering light last night, took me about 25 min for both sets and im waiting till the weekend to install the h8 on my fog lamps.

www.premiertek.com is their website, they have awesome prices and are well stocked. If anyone in the atlanta area needs help to install these bulbs, PM me or email me at bravari80@Hotmail.com, I will be more than happy to install or help you install them at no cost. You will have to drive to my house though ~

thanks man ur lights look really good

just some more questions: sorry i'm being so long winded

how do u find the mtecs super white as fogs match the xenons? i'm assuming u used them as they are whiter and not as blue as the gp thunder? do the mtecs match well or are they kinda yellow?

coz on my MINI i have mtec cosmos blue in my headlights - which to my knowledge are whiter/bluer than the mtec super white but when compared to my gf's mkV golf with xenons the light from my mtecs are really quite noticably yellower

so im worried if i was to put mtec super whites as fogs on the e92, then the xenons will be much whiter and it'll look off? do the gp thunder as fogs match the xenons at all or are they too blue?

Hey Picus. If you use the DRL's the GP's will be fine. They are super bright when used in that mode. A tiny bit dimmer than stock, but not much. I wish I could keep then that bright all the time. Give it a try....

The MTEC super whites as fogs match the xenons pretty closely, next time I am down there I will take a pic of the xenons and fogs on.

The gp thunder look really blue as fogs, imo.

Weird, check it out. Here are some pics of my car with the GP's on as DRLs outside yesterday. You almost can't see them at all.

See what I mean? Can hardly tell they are on. Here is the car in the same position but with the shade on it.

Still pretty dim.

I'm going to give it a few days, see how it looks. It isn't like it's hard to swap them.

If you want bright DRL's, you are gonna run into blinding issues at night. My gp replacement looks great in the morning, but they are almost non visible during the afternoon. Around dusk, they become very visible. Anything brighter coupled with your xenon lamps WILL blind people.

Ontop of that, you will lose the classy look at night because your whole lighting fixture will turn into 1 solid bright light and you will not be able to distinguish the seperate lighting fixtures on the bimmer.

Imo, the GPs are the best choice, despite being a little dim. Any white light is gonna be the same, your alternative is to go back to stock or get a different color bulb for those angel eyes. If you really want a brighter bulb, your only option is a HID conversion kit which costs 200+ dollars and is a significantly larger expense than 20 dollar bulbs.

Im happy with mine, ill post pictures of the car soon as i get the fogs replaced.

Ya, you're right - it's only during the day that they are too dim (imo), I can live with that.

funky_chilli, here is a pic of my car in the dark with the xenons and fogs on:

The MTEC super whites are a little more white than the xenons, imo, but it's really close. They are the best match of the three bulbs I've tried for fogs.
