so are these subs really worth it? or is it better off building a custom box in the trunk?
I own a custom car audio shop and want to go super stealth in my car and I just wasn't sure if these 8's are doing the job or not... IDK if I should build a custom box or try these out... |

I cut the carpet away from the sub too, seemed like it would get in the way, so I cleared it too. Used 10mm spacers before putting the grill back on (not sure what 10mm is in inches)

jackb, does having the SWS's lower, without spacers have any sound quality issues for you?
I am looking at installing some myself and would much prefer not to use spacers! |

Can someone tell me how can I seal the hole for bass refflex ? I'm waiting for my amp, but in the meanwhile I want to seal the boxes for SWS's.
Another problem about I want to ask you is about the chair support, it seems it is touching the SWS side. How did you resovled that problem? And please you all, can someone tell me at what freq is SWS sounds good ? I will use the HI input on my amplifier and try to remodulate the sound to sound good on the SWS's. Thank you all ! |

Where to top spacers fit into this? Do they go between the carpet and the grill OR between the speaker and the speaker and the carpet? I'm guessing it's the latter -- but I'm not really sure.

No carpet cutting is required.

Save your money. Dynamat will not make a noticeable difference in this application.
