Asked for camber adjust, got wheel alignment
In the summer I got a set of alloys fitted at tyre safety centre in Cookstown, they told me I needed my camber adjusted as my old wheels were wearing away on the inside, they hadnt time to do it there and then so I said Id take it to a local tyre place.
I took it to lakeland tyres in Lisnaskea and they said the job was done. I just checked my tyres and about 15mm of the inside tyres are very badly worn away. I searched out the receipt they gave me at the time and it says 'laser wheel alignment'. I mentioned this to a guy at work who works at cars from home and says the camber cannot be adjusted and the guys in tyre saftey centre havent a clue what theyre on about? My car is lowered on eibach springs only so I know this is where the problem is arisng from. |

Of course the camber can be adjusted
And the second place was absolutely right to do a full alignment, if they'd just done an adjustment to the camber, it could easily have affected the caster or toe. Assuming the alignment was right, I'd check your tyre pressures. Inner edge wear is very common on underinflated tyres, more so with RFTs, more so with 19s.

Go get a full 4 wheel alignment using either KDS or a Hunter machine.

Aggggggghhhhhhhhh! About a month ago I was checking tyre pressure and my rears were 32 I thought that was too high and brought them down to 28 which I thought was standard. So its my own fault then, thanks for the help.

Look at the sticker inside the door shut, but pretty sure run flats run at about 40psi!
