^ They have but not with the toe changes that occur during hard passing and cornering. Thx but this thread is about toe links. I have all the other parts you're mentioning.

Great review, thanks for posting. I also had the Rogue toe links installed recently to compliment my M3 suspension and Quaife LSD; it all works wonderfully together. I feel confident putting down power now, no more moving around in the rear. The rear end in these cars squirms around noticeably without the M3 subframe bushings and the toe links.
Next step for me is coilovers to eliminate the squat/dive that occurs under acceleration/deceleration. Then a tune.

^ Any increase in NVH with RE toe links or did you install them at the same time as the M3 components?
Sounds like a wise path to improve traction and susp prior to a tune

Then I had all the other parts of the M3 suspension installed (full list in my garage) and the Rogue toe arms. Love the feel of pushing the gas pedal now. Haven't put more than 15 miles on it since then so I don't have an opinion on NVH (even though it was weeks ago -work keeps me on the road), I'll report back if I notice anything. I just can't see adding power when the car isn't setup to handle it in the first place!

RE toe links suck!
The faint clunking sound I noticed almost right away after installing these toe links has gotten worse. Finally got around to putting the car on a lift today to check all bolts of recently replaced suspension components and they're all properly torqued. I can move RE toe links around with my hand due to those shitty spherical bearings! Gotta get with HPA and/or RE and see what the warranty is on these things. Granted CA roads aren't good like Nevada's, but I'm not a pothole or bump magnet by any means. These things should hold up for more than 3 months

Excellent performance: To resize pic, open in paint. Select resize option and 'save as' diff file name if you want to retain original. ____________________ Edit: Dang cvc, didn't see yer last night post. What's Harold have to say? If you mean can move bar in normal range of bearings, not a prob. But do you mean there's play/knock w/hand movement? . Last edited by CALWATERBOY; 06-27-2012 at 10:37 AM.. |

^ Ha! Thx for the tip (if I can figure out what the hell paint is).
Bolts are torqued. Spherical ends are sloppy. Yep, you have the same links; glad you haven't had any clunking, yet.

You can right click on the file; select Open With : Paint No clunk - was there a toe arm redesign @ HPA this year, or am I nuts? |

Both RE and HPA don't warranty the spherical joints. They are considered a wear item like brake pads. Replacement cost is $30. ea. per joint. Three months service life is terrible Anyone who wants these arms can have them when I replace them next month w/a part that functions properly on a street driven car.

Wow, now you make me nervous. I haven't had trouble with the RE arms but have only put ~2k miles on them (3 track days). No clunking yet.
Guess I'm on a timer.

According to HPA, I'm the first customer to have this problem with the RE toe arms. Lucky me I guess According to an engineer, this is bound to happen with spherical joints on a street driven car. VM toe arms had the same problem. Shouldn't happen after 3 months, and I shouldn't have to pay for replacement parts that soon

So Megan toe arms are the way to go huh? Are they the only ones to offer a ball joint type?

Weight? Maybe no concern for street. Dimensional stability? Gotta wonder why rubber instead o'urathane or delrin. Still, looks almighty sturdy. You RE/HPA toe arm replacers - do you know if the ball's ground down w/road grit? Note Ground Control's dirt boot. . Last edited by CALWATERBOY; 06-27-2012 at 07:41 PM.. |

Yep. I'm either going to use the toe arms Meyle sent me or install Powerflex bushings in my oe toe arms. Not throwing any more money at these spherical joint arms.
