Where are the cool mods?
Have all the guys that modded their cars moved on?
Save for a few guys (n54mike,lacster,psmitty,tee...., etc) all I see in here are stock cars with bullshit plastidip or some other lame mod. About a year ago there were some exciting mods. Is it because Creaminz is gone that no one is trying anymore, or is it because the demographic changed with the used car market?

I think its a combo of reasons, ppl moved on and sold their parts/cars. Most of everything been done did, wheels, body kits, wbks, power mods and suspension. Pretty diverse crowd on this forum since 07. Basically life goes on with another chasis and ppl are itching to "be the first" on the new style body. I think we've seen everything evolved on this forum which was and still fun to witness. ive met some good ppl along the ride.

Demographic change, seems to happen with a lot of platforms. 350Z/G35 first came out, tons of amazing cars. Now it's all eBay headlights, replica wheels, and plastidip. I don't see that many cool E46's anymore either. People that have the money to do the crazy stuff will move on and eventually what you have left will be people who can finally afford the cars, but not the money to really mod them. Big demographic difference between people who buy a car at $50K and at $20K.

I honestly dont think it has anything to do with creaminz, he was just a icon thats it not a inspiration to everyone.... Its the fact being that everyone wants to have the newer car the newer mods the newer look, i personally would never be caught dead in a f30 let alone mod one... and you're right all we see now-a-days is kids spending silly money on silly mods..

Sold that and moved on to a CTS-V, still have a soft spot for the E90, thus my activity here.

People modding has nothing to do with Creaminz lol. There are tons of people modding, but it's all been seen and done before so people don't post about it. You'll start seeing more "off-the-wall" stuff as these cars get cheaper.

My original post was in response to the abundance of stock cars post recently. Who am I to make a big deal though, we all have the right to post whatever we want, even if its minor. Pride of ownership! I'm an old guy missing the golden days!

cuz all the e9x's are dropping in price and kids are picking them up and doing ghetto mods... and if u dislike their mods, you become a hater. and theyll tell you "haters gonna hate" or some retarded shit like that.

I'm still here! I just 1) haven't had a running car until last week and 2) everyone has already seen all my mods. haha.

well name a few modders that you like seeing... the issue with those guys that modded crazy at a point (you could consider me as one too) theres nothing left to do... like mike up there said ^^ all of the mods have actually been shown already. i know mashimarho possibly has something up his sleeve and i have a new set of wheels coming but those arent major things. well mine isnt..
some people are also moving on. i know frankie sold his e90 and darren sold his e90 and his e92 now as well. up coming platform is making people want the newer thing. i know i'll be leaving sometime next year as well

HAHA THIS ONE!
I am going to hang around the N54 engine for a little while... I am not going to put a time frame on it. It was 7-8 years for the big single turbo Supras really came around after they were first released...and then the power numbers went crazy. We are starting to see it now too with the N54... slowly, but surely. There may not be any more innovation with body styling etc... but it has been done by a few people now... so not much to report i guess... Also i think people have realised that these cars do not look that good when they are OTT. So simplicity goes along way with out E9Xs Just my 2 cents |

it's a pretty good combination off all the above things said. I know myself personally have been out of it for a little while, but I can tell there has been a change in the community. I think there's less motivation to have people fully mod there car since the new chassis have started coming out. I found people like creaminz set quite the bar for a lot of people and made people push themselves to think outside of the box a little bit. It was fun seeing people like PJ and mashimarho mod their car while I was modding my e90. My e92 goes to LTMW right after New Years for phase 1 of modding, hopefully I can bring a little hope back to the community

I'm just here trying to reinvent the wheel and see if some of the unique concepts get people as excited as I am about my car.

Custom HPF Exhaust with a Borla Muffler makes exotic sex. Miami Performance Inc just modified one.
