I don't think this is a nationwide financing incentive, based on looking at dealer websites and newspaper ads...may just be Mono's dealership in particular.
Regardless, you can usually get good rates online - for instance, both CapitalOne and Eloan offer 5.75% for 60 months. My credit union offers 4.2%, and there's another one in my city that offers 5.14% (both for 60 month). I would suggest that new buyers shop around before financing through the dealer. SmellyGas |

really? I must go and ask my dealer cause I have recieved all the bank's disclosure forms to sign for 5.44% finance for 3 years.. ..if it's 2.9%, then it will be a close deal with the dealer.

they told me that i should have more money down, I only put 4,500 down. It was in a bit more affluent area where I bought the car, and they said that most people buying this car but about 12-20 large down, so they qualify for the "prime" rates. I think that is why I got 7.5%...also I was 23 when I bought the car, so I think that the lack of credit history, even with the great score, hurt my chances for a better rate.

I got the e-mail from Bill Jacobs BMW in Naperville, IL. I think it's just their dealership. Also, their e-mail said on some 2006 models (excluding the 7 series). I spoke them and they are definitely offering 2.9% for 60 mos. on the 3 series.

Must be only on a 24 month loan or some other catch to it.
I just re-financed with my credit union at 5.25%.

I confirm Mono's quote of 2,90% financing. I just signed on Jan 26 for a 330D in Belgium and that is what BMW Financial Services is offering . The offer is valid till Feb 25; I guess that's one month from purchasing date. I did tell them I'd put 15% down but when I had them over the phone a few days later they said they were willing to finance 100%.
Not a bad deal! |

'Please contact dealer for complete details on this offer.' is the catch. When you get ready to talk about finance, that is when they throw out things like good credit and forking out a certain down payment. If any of you got 2.9% on a 2006 e90 model, you have got a great deal there. Credit rating of 751 is excellent but you still can do better. Many folks are struggling to get into the 700 range. Also, here in texas, when I buy car insurance, they also looked at my credit. So paying your fee on time and checking your credit report regularly does pay off. I don't even know what my credit score is but when I turn in a form for loan, people who checked my credit always tell me I have excellent credit. 4 years ago, I found out that one of the credit bureau had mistaken me for another individual in California. So my credit report had several collections/default on loans. I found this out when I applied for my loan/mortgage. So I had to write letters to all the credit bureau to prove to them they had wrong info on my credit report. I also wrote letters to each of those financial agencies to inform them of this error. The funny thing is, before I discovered this error on my credit report, I never received any phone call from any collection agencies. |

Actually, inquiries on your credit score on a regular basis will hurt your score. Also, paying fees late doesn't hurt your credit unless you are 30 days late or more. It's a good thing you fixed your credit because that can be extremely difficult if mistakes are left on for a while. If anyone wants to check what is on their credit for free (without a score) you can visit www.annualcreditreport.com to view what different accounts are open or have been opened that affect your credit. |

When discussing a deal for a new 3-series, I asked the sales rep. their rates, he told me 2.9 % (on a loan for 48 or 60 months). Most banks are giving between 3.50% and 3.99 % here at the moment. |
