The 2nd picture belongs to forum member 'sdorn', hope he doesn't mind me borrowing his picture of the 325i emblem... I've mimicked the same low quality by deliberately bluring it and angling the picture, then inverted as before - simply to see what a blurred number 5 looks like

You be the judge I suppose...

It's the angle that makes drawing a conclusion difficult. I'm suprised there isn't one of those fat number plates BMW usually uses on pre production cars that aren't camo'd, or the model designation in the plate number.

Mind that the car was designed as 4er (yes, they wanted to move the coupe & cabrio in new series), but they rebadged it back to 3er due to marketing reasons (too strong M3 badge appeal).

So, now we have E92/3: 4er by design, 3er by badge.

i hope the center console where the radio etc. is, is more modern looking than the e90. it looks so old and boxy to me. no svelt look to it at all. doesn't look cheap, just looks so unstyled, and i don't even mean 'minimalist'... just plain and unimaginative.

Thanks Christian! Looks like they made the front grill very similar to the 5 series.

grey one looks faker than the black one if we want to dispute the black one's authenticity.... and glad. the black one, look at the angle of the sheet metal bend on the door right below the glass window. it's more severe while the grey one it's less aggressively bent. black one looks alot better in the back too.

i just hope the front is nice and taught and tight, doesn't hang out too much from the front wheel. Need that compact yet wide look for the front for a sport coupe. I noticed the e90 front overhang comes out more than the e46. The e46 was tighter. i also hope the hood is not overly sloped down to the front bumper... it makes the rear too 'high'... seen this on too many cars these days, even the new is350 (lexus)
