Nice one.... I'll get them then! It's for the E87..... so far the retrofit parts have been more expensive than the E9x!!

I thought it depends on if your current mirror runs of LINBus. If not you have to wire the LINBus to the FRM/Fuse box?? I'm looking into this at the moment, so if you have extra info that would be a great help |

Have you got 3 pins & memory seats? If so, then it's def a plug n play (with coding).

Jammy, if going from 3 to 3 and 5 to 5, it's all plug n play.
But if going from 3 to 5 and vice versa, then clearly not. I retrofitted M3 mirrors back in the day and it was plug n play as I had 3 pin connection |

Pretty sure it'll be 3 pin on mine, and mirrows I'm looking at are 3 pin already. If it's plug and play that would be great. But from what I've looked up so far the LINBus system is the key. If your old mirrows is powered through LINBus your fine, but if not, than you have to do addtional wiring ... |

As above really, from what I've read if going 3 to 3 or 5 to 5 then should be plug and play with the coding activation bit. Mines an 06 car with 3 pin (but I do have memory seats) and fitted the M3 mirrors with 3 pin too and coded it for the dimming as mine was folding equipped already.
Even did this on my old E60 530d when fitted genuine M5 mirrors and again was just plug and play. Maybe it depends slightly on what options are already equipped on the car but in theory apart from the coding side should be plug and play. The folding part simply works off the switch being able to send the signal to the motor which on folding mirrors still has the same number of pin connections.

You are more than welcome to try it and when you code it to folding mirrors, those mirrors will not even move.
