*** Help needed plz / e92 xenon lens dislodged???***
Hey guys noticed my left xenon headlight on my e92 seems like the projector has become dislodged from the housing ??? i have been told could be the stepper motor or something Plz see attached pics if anyone can help determine what the issue is and if fixeable... i have removed the top headlight cover and tried moving it and its not loose so dont know if that helps.
*sorry about the orientation of the pics dunno why its rotated*** |

I recently worked on a customer's headlights that had one xenon projector stuck in the same position exactly like yours. Turned out the self-leveling motor's was stuck. I played around with it and was able to push it back in place. That problem seems to be fixed for now until it decides to do that again for some reason. I hope that your problem is the same.
Anyway you will need to open up the headlights, then also open the back lid (where you access to the D1S bulb socket). Goood luck! |

if you want to make sure 110% that there is no condensation, buy something called window weld. It's butyl, almost the same stuff the headlight is sealed with. |

And yes, buy the butyl sealant. It's about $15 online. |

I have a spare headlight I want to play with and work on before working on my actual car's headlights. Figured I'd save this for a drunken weekend project. Edit: (Pre LCI E92 headlight in question)

If you don't want to deal with loading the oven up, the box serves as an oven. You cut a small circular hole in the box and load the heatgun into it. Works just as great!
