Driving on milk crates in the meantime? Lol. This would be tough for someone without another car.

So far not a problem and I'm using the car virtually every day. However, when it comes time to do the driver's seat things will get interesting.

Is the passenger seat able to be put in place for the time being? Never looked at diy's for removing front seats, not sure about alignment for it..

Not a bad idea. Maybe you can put the passenger seat in the driver position, paint the driver seat, and when it cures swap and paint the passenger?
