I've been researching like crazy lately to find out if certain sizes will work on my E92, and it's crazy the varying ideas and opinions and how one size will rub on one car, but not on another. Width/offset/suspension matters, of course...but check out this thread starting with post #22. This guy says he fit 255/40/18 and 275/40/18 on his E92 without rubbing, and he's lowered.

Yeah I am. Looks like you added it now.
PSS run a little small compared to the RE71r I run. I have confirmed that 245/40/18 on a 8.5" rim will rub on full lock. They don't rub when driving normal and probably would be fine. Since the 513m rims are 9" a 255 PSS would be a bit stretched and might fit closer to a 245 RE71r. After fitting 275/35/18 on a 9.5" rim the same stretch/small PSS comment applies. I could probably fit a 275/40/18 but would rub the fender liner on bumps and that is with a ET47. |
