Once you raise the car and get the undertray off it's retty straight forward.
You will see exactly what you need to do.

If you just do the tension links does an alignment still need to be done?

I would have the alignment done for sure. This is why I believe on doing both at the same time. If you're a mod freak like myself then you know that you're going to do the wishbones at one point in time so you might as well do them at the same time.

Mr.5, would you mind posting or sending me a pm on where you got the parts at those approximate prices? I’d like to do this as my next mod.
I checked with my dealer and they want about $550 for the tension rods & wishbones. I checked the HP Autowerks website and it comes out to about $460 before shipping (shipping adding another $25 or so). You also mentioned Tischer but I had trouble finding the parts on their site. You seem to have done it for around $410. Thanks for your help and your posts. On a side note I’ll have the dealer do this for me and they figure it’ll be around $400 plus an alignment. I could probably do it myself but I think I’ll play it safe |

Is there anything hard about installing the center mount (#3 in the OEMparts diagram) for the strut brace?

I meant is it hard to r&r the V piece -- looks like a boomerang -- that fits under the last cowl cover beneath the windshield. It looks like you can access the bolt underneath the cover, or maybe there is a little circular piece that removes for access. You don't have any photos of that last bit of installation tear-down.

Nice job. Thanks.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I think the Tischer team is setting up more "kits" like Harold's.
If I were west coast I would drive over to HP-AW and get everything installed there. Harold has pioneered a lot of this and no doubt has additional tweaks that could be shared amongst his friends and compatriots. East coast and everyone else can order from whatever source works best for them. One nice thing about Tischer compared to the other BMW OEM dealer suppliers is that Jason & Evan are on top of the stuff we are talking about here, so you are going to get the right parts w/ necessary hardware (bolts, bushings, etc.).
