E92 Irritants...just venting!
Yes, the E92 is an outstanding car in all respects that matter most. But when my lease is up in Fall, I definitely will not be getting another one. Instead, I'll get an E90, an E46 coupe, or something else entirely, because of ergonomic irritants I have with my '07 coupe...
Rear access door sliders -- are reluctant to work. They must be pushed from the bottom cushion and don't automatically return to the previous position. My service manager acknowledges that this is a design problem... one I never had with my E46 coupe. I loved my E46 coupe and regret not buying it at the end of my lease. I don't love the E92, even though it is a terrific driver. It's just not a "comfortable companion"...it's more like an "irritating showoff" to me. |

steering wheel tilts and telescopes; adjust it so you can see the speedo. How hard is that?

In my 09 Coupe, the driver's seat will go back to the previous position, only if you press the memory button, or use the key fob. I agree with you on the seatbelt valet. Although, the Idrive screen works great with polarized lenses. My big gripe with the turn signals is the proximity of the cruise control stalk. I've often gotten them confused, turning off the cruise rather than turning on the turn signal...

Complete agreement on the steering wheel blocking view, and that they should have at least made the clicker more audible.
I move the tilt/telescope to get into comfortable position, and it just works out that having a tall torso doesn't give me much options. None of the info I want to see is visible, just all of the useful info. I bet the polarized display allows the display to be more visible in sunlight. In that respect it is awesome compared to others I've seen. |

My thoughts exactly. For all it does exceptionally well, those are such little issues. And IMO, the turn signal clicker has got to be the most audible of any vehicle I've ever driven (besides my Grandma's Grand Marque...).

I've done that a few times myself, but would you dislike the car because of it?

All cars have quirks. Try my 05 C6 Vette if you want an annoyance. It also has comfort access (keyless entry), and it's standard. Great! BUT, you have to have put the car in reverse to turn it off. If you don't put it in reverse, the engine stops, but the electrical accessories remain energized. Forever.
So, if you forget to put it in reverse, the battery drains within 48 hours. THAT'S a genuine annoyance, and to really make things fun, the doors are operated only by electrical relays, no mechanical handle. So, if you don't have your single key to open the trunk when the battery dies, you're really up the creek. Apparently a DOT rule about reverse and keyless entry for 05 models.... Oh, and I find I put the E90 in reverse when I shut the engine down, out of pure habit now... |

I do however agree with the op that the polarized radio issue is terrible.. I cannot believe that was not tested prior to producing these cars, pretty amazing. |
