GIAC Ecu Flash!!!
This week will be an amazing week! I will be posting dyno numbers, personal impressions, and all the info on the newest addition to GIAC's powerful arsenal of tunes. GIAC has nearly 20 years of experience tuning many different cars ranging from VW, Audi, BMW and Mini to Porsche and Bentley. Their tuning boasts not only impressive gains but excellent driveability and smoothness throughout the rev-range. Here at AE, we happily run their software in every applicable car including our Time Attack competing Porsche 996 GT2 which makes ~620hp on race gas. Many of you are probably aware at this point that GIAC has been working away at the N54 tune on their own 335 and we have aided them in the past several months with numerous ECU readouts any by doing anything we can. We are also proud to say that Andy @ GIAC's personal 335 that is the canvas upon which they have created their latest tune is running our AE Dual exhaust system! Stay tuned this week for MUCH more information! (Sorry for the teaser... it'll be worth it!)

It's great to see more options come out for our engines!

GIAC has always made a great product for VW/audi/Porsche. I had a audi a4 with an APR tune because it was more aggressive but i always heard GIAC was a little more smooth

Will all dealers be able to flash/reflash? Require the battery charger BMW recommends?
I've not been a fan of GIAC on 91 octane in the AZ heat, so hopefully it's been figured out better given the higher sophistication of our DMEs. Curious to see the results. |

Unless its over 14 psi, not interested. Flashes have been a big fail so far because of the limitation of boost they can't get over without making the car go crazy.
Funny enough BMW works best on piggybacks. Who would have thought! |

You seriously think its a limitation of the DME? It's not. But if you are seriously happy with your piggyback, why does it matter? If it gets you where you want to be... enjoy the damn thing. |

Really? I had APR1+ on my B6 for a while. Was always under the impression APR was the smoother one, and GIAC was more aggressive..

This very reason is why GIAC has been working on the N54 flash for so long... they wanted to make sure it did a few things the best it possibly could- driveability, power, and smoothness. If they wanted to simply introduce a flash to the market ASAP to capitalize on new ground to be had in the N54 tuning world, they would have done it a LONG time ago. This is quality.

I don't believe GIAC has anything remotely similar to that anywhere in its family tree.
