Going with front wishbone will add .75 neg camber. Running 1.5 neg camber should be fine for track and street use i think. Some are suggesting this is a better option than getting camber plates. Is it a better route than going with camber plates? Are camber plates really important? Dinan sells caber plates for $250 but are not adustable. Orb indicates Stage 1.5 wishbones, tension struts, camber plates why are the camber plates required? Is doing the front tension struts and rear guide rods a good start (simple install too)? before doing front wishbones? Last edited by tomtom; 01-05-2009 at 01:45 PM.. |

So I don't frequent the Dinan website regularly. When did they put up their version of M3 parts swap for the 335? Did they plagiarize Harold/Orb or v.v.? Lots of us looked for bushing options a long ways back and didn't do anything about it. The M3 swaps are most convenient, albeit pricey; if you do everything (a lot more than the Dinan kit) you are into $1250+ for parts and $600+ for labor.
"3 Series > 335i, xi Sedan (E90) 2007-2008 > Chassis Tuning > High Performance Bushing Kit High Performance Bushing Kit Add to cart High Performance Bushing Kit A complete set of stiffer bushings for both the rear subframe and front lower control arms is available for 335i models. Replacing the excessively compliant stock bushings with stiffer, high performance bushings improves steering response and feel, as well as making handling much more predictable. Cars equipped with larger tires and wheels also benefit from a reduction in the tendency to follow ruts and grooves in uneven pavement. The system consists of the four rear subframe bushings and complete replacement front control arms with the stiffer bushings already installed. Part # D280-0004 Labor Hours 7.4 Price $799.00 Point Value 1 Special Notes Does not apply to xi models. Special BMW tools are required to remove the rear subframe. Alignment is recommended after installation."

We had the M3 strut tower brace kit at Bimmerfest, but no one noticed it. Soon after, the front tension rods and wishbones were installed. |

These look pretty generic, and I think the E36 or E46 rear upper mounts might even work. Don't quote me on that though, this is just from memory after working on some installs in the past. Otherwise it would be pretty easy to fab up something stiffer as they're a really simple design.

I have everything coming for mine. Do you reuse the nuts and bolts/studs for the arms?

Yeah. Alignment is absolutely needed after this. I remember installing these at home and the drive to the alignment shop was very scary.

Hey guys€, Im about to purchase a set of KW V2's and a set of camber plates and though that the M3 sways would be a perfect compliment to the suspension. Would you recommend any other M3 parts for someone who is pretty much gonna use it for spirited street driving and very very rare track use if any at all?
