My new E92 330d M Sport Coupe (MY2010 - new mirrors!)

Hey all

First post on here but long time lurker!

Here's a photo of my new MY10 E92 330d M Sport Coupe in Space Grey. From factory order to dealer took less than three weeks! From build to dealer took about 10 days! I was a bit heavy on the options list but really wanted Professional Nav and DAB Radio this time! Our 125i M Sport vert doesn't have either as I didn't like the way they added the "bunker" on the dash for MY09.

I'm sure it's been covered in detail elsewhere but the car has the larger mirrors and I had to order Extended Storage to get the nets on the seat backs. Think MY10 also drops the rear tweeters in the BMW Business Loudspeaker option that I had in my saloon but I really dont mind; it's a fabulous car and I'm even starting to appreciate those mirrors (I sense a flame coming!!!) ............

Your car looks great! The 225M's look especially nice.

The bigger mirrors may not be as photogenic as the discontinued mirrors, but they have a much larger field of view.

The larger type mirrors seem to replicate the audi a4 mirrors a bit more. The larger field of view would be nice though

Thanks for all the kind welcomes and comments!

I knew the mirrors would get reaction! When I first saw them online I wasn't thrilled and the first time I saw them on the car I didn't like them. Like most changes, you generally come to accept them and I didn't have a choice when I ordered as there were no cars in stock with my spec, nor were there any build slots before Week 36 when the spec changed for 2010.

You do get much better rearward vision though compared to our '09 1er vert!

Have only done a few hundred miles in the car since delivery but it's awesome! Was worried about a hard ride and had the option to drop M Sport Suspension when ordering. However, test car had it and was softer than our '05 320d M Sport on 193M 18" so we stuck with M Sport Suspension and 225Ms!. Maybe BMW softened the springs a little since the 2005 saloon. The 320d was almost uncomfortable but the 330 is fine. Professional Nav is great but I'm not so thrilled at the iPod Nano charging situation .....
