New E92 M3 review.
I read Autocar magazine at a friends house. Autocar had a review on the new M3 and they tested the acceleration to 62mph. The new M3 did it in 4.9 which is around 4.7 to 60mph. The new M3 weight is 1570Kg which is around 3461lbs. That is around 70lbs lighter than the E92 335. I bet the new M3 is putting down 320-330rwhp 290-300wtq.
After reading the review the 335 looks even better now... All it needs is LSD, Proceede with full exhaust, thicker sway bars, sticky tires and you have a track monster with 340-360rwhp 380-400rwtq. The extra TQ is going to make up for the 70lbs exccess weight over the M3.

It's rumored to have around 410-420HP. I'm sure it will put much more than 320HP at the wheels. And it will do 0-60 in less than 4.8. According to BMW, the E46 M3 will do it in 4.8.

and we know BMW underrates their car, so I think the E46 M3's 4.8 0-60 time can be achieved with very little effort

I do disagree about the turbos... I think they could go a long way if you're not trashing your car (slamming it when cold...)

i can't even imagine driving the M3 that has basically 100 more hp than my 335i, you cannot tell me that would not be a HUGE difference, let alone the LSD, suspension tweaking that they have done.
And my guess is that the M3 will be doing 0-60 in mid to low 4 seconds

If the new M3 was priced at arround 50K.... I wasnt even going to think about the 335 and the 10K difference, but the rumors are that it will reach 60K and above, so for right now I am sticking with the 335i. At end of the day....you always get what you paid for....

Oh I have no regrets. I mean, I dont plan on getting rid of my 335 for a long time and my ultimate goal is to have it running at around 600hp. That being said, its a lot easier to do that with a FI vehicle as opposed to a NA vehicle.
The M3 is really nice, but other than the engine, its not that dramatically different from the 335.

there is no way in hell that a 335 even with a proceed can out run or out perform the legendary M3.....i pretty damn confident that just like the 335 turned heads in it's class and a class above it, the m3 would do the same....

Blah blah blah. It can't....RIGHT NOW...but in the future with more mods, it will easily.

BMW M3 was, is and will be BMWs trademark. There is plenty of people out there with there EVOs or STIs saying the same thing that some of you saying about M3s "Why would I buy BMW 335i, if for 15k less I can have EVO or STI"

We're talking about two BMW's, not a BMW and a Subaru. Bad comparison.
Look, like I said before, the new M3 is hot! But in the long run, everything you get in the M3 minus the engine, you can put on yourself at your leisure. Basically you're paying for the engine and M3 badge.

Sorry, but the new M3 will probably put a lot more than 320-330 to the rear wheels. BMWs stated 0-60 and 0-62 times are usually quite conservative. The weight is still speculation.

Jesus, listen to what I'm saying. Right now, even with the PROCEDE the 335 will probably lose in a race with the new M3. THAT BEING SAID, FUTURE MODS WILL ALLOW THE 335 TO EASILY SURPASS THE M3.
Comprende?

Oh, bull shit! First off, Autocar didn't drive the E92 M3. Second, the E92 M3 will never, in a billion years, do 0-60 in 4.9 seconds. That's laughable at best. The 335i is faster than that. NO WAY IN THIS UNIVERSE the E92 M3 will do 0-60 any slower than 4.5 seconds. And I'm betting on 4.1 seconds. Or BCS, 3.9 seconds.

Um....I'm confused. Are you arguing with me or the Autocar results?
I agree that I think the M3 will do around 4.3/4.4 seconds
