Now that the 320 has dropped I see them all over and have to say they are not pretty in front with stock 320 kit and halogens. Rear takes me a second look at exhaust to know its a 3 and not a 5. For 35-40k I would for sure look else where

The N20 is no N54, lets just get that out there, but compared to the N52 it's much more powerful and torquey. I still prefer the sound and creaminess of the N52, there has to be trade-offs I guess but the N20 is definitely an upgrade for the 328i. Seats and interior quality are all subjective, opinions will vary but I thought it harked back to the E46 style that I much preferred over the E90. So I'm a fan especially of the gauge cluster. Ambient lights on the doors were a nice feature missing on the E90. |

I liked the styling, and the engine was responsive.
But, I couldn't really hear the engine noise like I can in my E90. The engine noise was totally isolated from the cabin. The only times I heard it was when the ASS turned the engine off/on, and in the higher revs. The steering was very numb and disconnected compared to the E90. No sense of what the car is doing or how well it's responding to input. The F30 I drove was more or less a base model. I'd bet that I'd have a different response with a Sport or MSport package. |
