My car goes off CPO in December. If it doesn't fail by then (I have 68K right now), I'll probably replace the pump and t-stat as a preventative measure.
Long time ago, I drove a Mazda Millenia. Pump failed at about 75K, idiot light came on, but the engine was never the same. |

Not to bring up an old thread, but FYI I believe BMW changed the parts around 2008, it has been updated 3 times. So the stats above may or may not be accurate to your vehicle depending on your year and the years of those sampled.
