Well, I may get delivery on Friday this week -- maybe Thursday if I'm REALLY lucky and the holiday season comes early for me. My E93 left the VPC at 9:05PM last night and should be delivered to my dealer (25 miles or so north of you) today according to the BMW system status my CA had before noon today. I won't go into that my car completed production on 9/5 and sat in the plant yard for some unknown reason before getting on a ship some 17 days later before all you other guys. I'm looking forward to a "pristine perfect" new toy very soon, and will then hopefully look back at BMW manufacturing, tracking, delivery and this part of my BMW experience as something from a Twilight Zone episode. (Yes, sorry guys, that IS definitely dating me.) I'm ready for the next episode after all of this. Luv you sdslayer, but after this experience, I'm glad to be a day ahead of you again!

picked mine up today around 3 hrs ago...sorry I am the worst photgraher in the world. Hopefully will be better tomorrow in the day time. The car has tons of torque. 1st gear feels weak, but once in 2nd and even around 2000 rpm's it really pulls. You can tell its a turbo car from driving but its subtle at the same time. The idrive is very logical and pretty much picked it up all tonight. I'm sure there are more things I need to know but i can navigate no issues. Tomorrow, I will play with the Nvavigation a bit more. Anyway, I hope you guys get your soon! Oh and try to get free floor mats!

You have to hold the camera steady until you are 100% sure it took the picture! lol It doesn't look like we are getting the 5 series shifter. It doesn't look like the shifter on the current 335's though.

just got back from driving around...lol Crsip, yes maybe i was a bit excited.
other than the shifter (no biggy can replace, feels odd i hand), I really like the feel of the car. This thing can really hold its own, passing on highway is a breeze. Big upgrade from my G. Now I will try to go to sleep so I can drive her to work tomorrow |

Just picked it up not even 3 hours ago and I have to bring it back in for service...Don't worry nothing big, just the driver side mirror won't fold when I hit the auto-fold button, but they should have checked that before I took delivery...oh well. Since the dealer is about 30mi from where I live, gives me a reason to drive the beast.

has anyone received an update on their 2009? We too have been waiting out this nightmare knowing our 335i coupe is sitting in North Jersey while we are in South Jersey - so close, yet so far. Sounds like everyone is waiting for news on the 24th - just wondering if anyone has had a glimmer of hope.

Just got word today from my CA that my car has arrived at the dealer. I won't be picking up until next week because of scheduling conflicts and aftermarket parts being added at the dealer. Just an FYI - I'm in Cleveland.

just wondering if anyone is taking road hazard insurance on the wheels/tires. Had to replace a run flat on our 2006 325 and it cost $260.00 - the new 335i coupe (if it ever gets here) will have the 19 inch tires. Our CA couldn't quote a price - just wondering if anyone has opted for it.

is it worth it?
Well, for my 2006 audi s4 the insurance was over $500 added to the lease. I did not purchase it because I figured I could replace a wheel for less than that if I needed to. I think that the BBS CH wheels are less than $500 ea and this is what it came with from the factory. When I turned it in last month - they charged me $240 for wheel damage. So, I came out on top by not buying it in my opinion.
I am leaving to pick up my car now. I am still not going to buy wheel insurance with this lease either. |

i took the insurance on the wheels..they are very expensive to replace. You can add the coverage on your monthly, so i think you are spreading $500+ bux over your finance/lease or pay up front...i think its worth it...another thing they tell you they dont cover meanwhile they same bumper to bumper cover for 4 years

driving with the top down!
I think I would rather get punched in the face than buy a car. I hate all the lies and having to argue about floor mats. The bullying reminded me of elementary school. At any rate, it was a sunny day in the high 80's (car said 95 though) and I finally got to drive with the top down.
I'll post blackberry pics on the Hojin thread. I don't want someone to read that thread and wonder what happened to the cars |
